When God Says, “I’ll Speak Through You” — Even If You Feel Unqualified

🗓️ Week 3 – Thursday (July 17)

When God Says, “I’ll Speak Through You” — Even If You Feel Unqualified

(Based on Exodus 6:28–7:7)

Moses had already tried to quit.
Multiple times.

He wasn’t eloquent. He was discouraged. And the people weren’t exactly cheering him on.

So now, when God repeats the command — “Go to Pharaoh again” — Moses offers one more objection:

“Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?”Exodus 6:30, KJBPNV

That phrase — uncircumcised lips — speaks of unworthiness, fear, and insecurity.
Moses didn’t think his voice could carry the weight of divine truth.

But God had other plans.

🗣️ You Will Be “Like God”

God responds with something shocking:

“See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.”Exodus 7:1, KJBPNV

Whoa.
God wasn’t saying Moses was divine — but that in this mission, Moses would serve as God’s representative, His authority figure, His mouthpiece.

Aaron would echo Moses’ words to Pharaoh — just as prophets echo God’s words to people.

📖 This Is What a Prophet Does

A prophet is a spokesperson for Elohim.
They don’t invent truth — they deliver it.

Like Aaron, like Moses, like you and me when we share Scripture and reflect God's character, we speak for God in a world that often doesn’t want to listen.

🧠 But What If I’m Not Qualified?

That’s the point.

Moses wasn’t eloquent. Jeremiah thought he was too young.
Gideon was afraid. Jonah ran away. Paul had a thorn. Peter had a temper.

God doesn’t choose based on résumé.
He chooses based on willingness.

Even after all his objections, Moses ran out of excuses.
He went — and God used him powerfully.

💬 What About You?

  • Is there something God’s calling you to do — but you’ve been resisting because you feel unqualified?

  • Are you worried your words, your story, your witness won’t be enough?

  • Do you feel like your voice is “uncircumcised” — not holy, not ready, not strong?

Then you’re in the perfect place for God to use you.

💭 Reflection Questions:

  • What excuses do I use to delay or avoid God's call?

  • Have I confused my limitations with God’s inability?

  • Am I willing to speak — and let God empower the message?

✨ Key Truth:

If God called you, He’s already prepared a way.
You don’t need the perfect words — just a willing heart.

“And the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh…”Exodus 7:5, KJBPNV
